i don't particularly like how the floor texture meets the wall. there should be and edge that forms for the wall. the textures themselves look good but you didn't design them to work well together.

I agree on that, but what type of edge were you thinking about?

For the gold wall I've been trying to give it a type of old, worn, grimy look (like something that's been there for hundreds of years), but I still don't seem completely pleased with the results. Is there any way I can achieve that type of appearance in PSP 12?

I think the problem is that the transition is too harsh. Perhaps if you applied a bit of Ambient Occlusion to the scene or darkened the textures near the edges it would look better. I like the textures though!

That sounds like a good idea, I'll try it out. But how exactly DO you apply Ambient Occlusion to the scene?

The AO settings are under the Materials tab under World.



It might take a bit to play around with the settings to get it just right, but it does make things look much more natural.
