Do you have permission to distribute those textures?

It probably would be best to take those images down. I'm not entirely sure of the question, so you want to use your own model and unwrap it to fit on someone else's texture?

You just gave out 5 textures from DarkMatter. Not a good idea. Just get GIMP and convert them yourself.

Hey Guys,,,,,

I have my own models that I search for a method to create their dds skin as these ones I posted. This are just examples for the dds skins that I found in the 3d Game Maker, but I will not decline the license that I have accepted from the 3d Game Maker When I have installed it.

My Problem is how to create a dds skin file for a solid white x model I created using Google Sketch Up 7 Or 3Ds MAX 5.

My Best Regards,,,,,

If you have 3DS Max, use its UV editor. I hear it's a good one. Look up tutorials through google or this forum.

*Sigh* I'd probably say right now "just read the tutorials", "consult the great graphics resource", etc., but I remember when I posted those types of threads . Given time you will learn. I hear 3DS Max can make UVMaps, and gimp is a great free image editing software for making textures. Oh, and please, download something like gimp, randomly splatter the words "DARK MATTER" or whatever all over the images in a transparent white, and replace the pics in your first post JUST TO BE SAFE. And if you actually bought stuff like 3DS Max, as in bought it, not obtained it from college or whatever, then check out other image editing softwares like photoshop, and I think z brush can make amazing quality textures of any kind too, (or am I wrong, because I don't even know, and I really want to before buying ZBrush myself, so please correct me... please). Otherwise, you have some great resources at hand, won't take long for you to learn. Doesn't Henry Ham use 3DS Max and Photoshop to make AAA quality models? Well either way I remember he uses photoshop, so you can see how experience with such programs make great stuff. G'Luck

yes i do but i think you will find that its B- quality models i make

ok if i get what you are after you will need to uvw map your models first (use maxs uv editor its great )then render out your uv map (save it as a .jpg) open it in an image editor like photoshop ,gimp etc then paint or paste in photos to build up your texture then save it as .dds

job done

cheers henry
