I was running FPSC fine, nothing I could produce went below 38 FPS (on a 40 FPS cap) and then all of a sudden, I started seeing very slow performance in a room with nothing. (just a blank segment room with a 500 ffffff light) I had no idea what the problem could be, but I was thinking some of you might know.

my specs

3.0 GHz Intel Core 2 duo e8400
2GB DDR2 800 MHZ RAM
Dual (2) XFX Geforce 9800GT in SLi
Windows XP
MSI P7N SLI motherboard- nforce 750i

any suggestions/ideas?
also- what's FPSCdumpmem.exe?

EDIT- forgot to say, the last thing I did before getting this slowdown was make a few segments in Firma V2. is that the problem?

I also have this on my levels, any level. It lags like hell, but when I juso the first time it stops lagging...I don't know if you tried jumping, so I don't know if we have the same problem.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things that I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Try running FPSCreatorCleaner.exe.

Then try again, if that doesn't work then try use different segements for the room, see if that works.

Then if that doesn't try reinstall I guess?

I did try both of these, no luck. it laggs oddly. I'll move, and it feels like I'll move fast, then slower, then fast, then slow again. like it's slow to update and drag me to the position or something.

Try cutting and pasting the segements you added into a substitute folder, not in the FPS Creator folder and see if it is causing the issue.

Bugsy, let me try to help if I may.

I suggest to build a new level test only using firma based segs and check results. Then add a fpsc stock seg or more than one to that level. And repeat the test.

Keep trying different options, say stock segs and add some firma based ones. It may not be firma that is causing the issue. However its worth a try to see if there is a conflict.
I will be happy to look into this for you also, once I get back into action. Good luck.

demo released.

This happens a lot to us FPSC x10 users. On levels with barley anything in it we lag horridly. Especially on the specs I have, it should not lag at all. It's really annoying and I have had to cut almost everything out of my game. It's really sad.

Try reinstalling

Who the hell is General Failure? And why is he trying to read my hard disk?

My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.
