@the comet or anyone else who has purchased AC3D. I have recently tried the trial of this package and it seems fairly good. However I cannot export any objects to test in DB. I can export to the main directory but if I browse somewhere else it doesn't seem to work. that wouldn't be an issue, apart from the fact that when I look in the directory I supposedly saved it in , it isn't there.
I was thinking of purchasing it, but when I got this problem it put me off. I know it's probably a windows 7 thing. Stopping me seeing the new file it creates because it is in a protected folder, hence why I tried to export (or even copy) it to another location.
So, does it work ok with DB using .x models for instance? I am loath to buy anything until I have seen it working properly for the use I intend to use it.
oh one more thing. How on earth do you render anything? I have downloaded Povray 64 as it says it is needed to render. Now all I get is that POV loads up, I click render and it duly renders an example scene, not mine

This seems pretty poor to me, and if not easily fixable, would be a nuisance I couldn't live with. I certainly couldn't just load the scene up from within the program that I could see. I would assume that the program should do that automatically when you click render...
