Cool, I think it looks great! Gonna spring for the "M" rated version when I'm off next week.

I looks like someone has been busy working on a game instead of talking about it. The presentation is very well executed and though we have seen the gameplay many times, it still looked good. I was pleasantly surprised to see some of my media in the game. Let's hope it really sells well.

Always so enjoyable to see another game made in FPSC go commercial.

Looks good. But i dont see why the "M" version costs more. Why didnt they do what all game devs do and make one "age" for their game..

But i must admit, their game looks pretty sweet

@ Shaun
Because the M version has more content. They probably did the T version so the kids who want to buy this wouldn't need to have awful parents who let their kids play a game with strippers. M version is more for adults. T is for younger people. M version has sexual content so more than likely, they're banking on adults wanting to see...things...

But this looks like a great game. Just don't have cash right now

This looks very impressive.

Story looks like its been cobbled together from a mixture of recent games but they say everything has been done before.

Game design looks very nice and impressed to see how many game related sites its been published in.

Cool! But can anybody tell me why commercial titles always have to look that bad?

Looks quite good, even touh most of the levels looks like all other levels made with FPSC.
But they seem to have focused on the story, which is good.

The Youtube video comments are a bit...discouraging, to say the least.

I agree. But why bother on htem, they don't know anything about creating. They are all comparing this to HL1 and Crysis, for some reason.

And youtube comments are kind of always discouraging. I never take them seriously.

Personally wasn't all that impressed by this one. The beginning makes no sense to me. Why is he in a hallway that has nothing in it but a single air vent?

It just seemed like a typical FPSC game you'd see in the forums here. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary with it, aside from the video cell phone and the non-enemy AI. Oh and the strippers! haha.

Its a well made game, but just didn't seem commercial quality to me. Though it definitely looks better than most of the other FPSC games that went commercial.

Maybe I just don't like FPSC games haha.

Congrats on going commercial though.

Signature's are stupid.

Cool. I like the first trailer song. BTW does anybody have a count of how many games went commercial with this engine? Just curious.

Unfortunately, if the developer wants this game to be as successful as it can be from a commercial standpoint, he (or they?) will need to take that public critisism into consideration. If 9 out of 10 'reviewers' aren't impressed with what they're seeing, then they might have a problem when the game is ready for distribution (if it's not out already).

Granted, most of the people trash-talking the gameplay probably aren't developers...they're gamers; simply sharing their opinions about a new game. And that's the problem. Because those are all potential customers to the developer, saying they aren't impressed with what they're seeing.

The way that I've always looked at things when developing a project with FPS Creator was to be prepared for two entirely different critisisms. There's going to be (A) the reviewers that also use FPS Creator, and are aware of it's capabilities and limitations, and (B), gamers; that will place your low budget, FPS Creator game next to a AAA title in their mind, and start tearing yours down. That's just the thing that's going to happen when you or anyone brands their game as 'commercial', with any game engine.

That's just my two cents. And as I've said before, I'm behind anyone here that has the dedication and mindset to take their game past the WIP section and a few decorated screenshots. I wish the developer(s) luck.

I dunno, it's probably because those who make these commercial games with FPSC are just spoiled brats whose parents have loads of money and "connections" to game selling companies..

Well, I think it looks a lot worse than most of the games people make in these forums, if I'm honest...

Well said.

I like the storyline, and the trailers is nice.
I am surprised they didn't use more wall art, but hey, it still looks pretty good.

I'll probably buy the M version just to check out their innovations.

they put lots of custom animations and naked women, but the level design is positively horrible, and the lighting is infantile at best.

but naked women SELL GAMES.

@Bugsy:

I think you're missing another "t" in your second sentence.

Quote: "Yeah... me too. Just to check out their innovations."

Point made maybe? Lol, simply because of these "innovations" that are worth "checking out" it might be the best selling FPSC game to date!

[EDIT]

Just watched the gameplay vid. Looks... newbish, in comparison to other works I've viewed on these forums. The lighting seemed to be severely lacking, as does the level layout.

Must be modded from what I can tell, due to the oh-so-familiar Mod related bugs; cut-off firing sounds, implacent lighting on weapons, etc. And if it is modded, I can't help but wonder why they didn't go for AirMod to make REAL ironsights instead of the fake overlay ones.

Though it does have plenty of custom content, I can't help but notice much of the stock detail that many people overlook. The character voice is familiar, the blood decal is familiar (The animated one when you shoot somebody), the automated air duct entrance that just BEGS to be entered, and the air duct is just as cramped as it has ever been! You get the picture.

I'm not saying the game is crap and unplayable, just saying that I feel the immersiveness could have been improved vastly by providing that bit of shine. The levels looked more linear than a linear game! Give the players some false doors, some dead end areas, spots in the level that they can look at but can't reach. Those sorta things really make the player feel like they aren't being restricted to the line of play you've no doubt put them in.
[/end critique]

Well, at least it's not a perfect WIP but an imperfect finished game.
Also, that the guy is using FPSC shows his financial constraints. For all that, he seems to have done a good job.

He missed one part of the marketing, though: most of the trailers made for marketing games by big companies like EA are specifically created animation films.
Usually, you never find many of the fantastic scenes or the characters shown in the trailer, in-game. The trailer is created just to present the storyline with a beautifully created animation film. On Youtube, and to hook potential customers, that's what works. Not my opinion, ask big game companies.

Still moving in circles.

That's the key now isn't it? Creating, it's the old art vs popularity contest. Creators and artists have a view of it's never perfect, it can be tweaked here, it can be changed there...this can and does go on forever..I know,I'm there...but the fact is corners must be cut in just about anything to get it out there. Sort of how many poly's before the guys 1.66 melts down. LOL
