Is there a specific colour that I can use in Paint Shop Pro to create a transparent area in a texture (it will appear transparent in game). For example "Magic Pink" in Windows XP's shell makes an area transparent.
If there is no way of doing that I need a simple 3D program (for n00bs to 3D modelling like me) so that I can actually physically remove that part.
Thanks in advance for any help,
PieLighter

Oh and another thing slightly unrelated,
Is there a button I can press to make a test game run at a nice smooth frame rate? A simple level runs at about 12FPS on my outdated rig.
Specs:
FPSC Version: V103 it says on the splash screen.
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHz
RAM: 1GB
Video: ATI Radeon 9550SE
Audio: Realtek AC97 (well that is what the driver is called...)

Any help on all of these will be greatly appreciated.

You could also just get GIMP. Add an Alpha Layer to the texture and erase the parts you want transparented( not sure if thats a word but...) with the eraser.

OK, thanks guys. Anything about the frame rate issues? Because with me it's not minor. Sometimes on complex(ish) levels I get about 5 or 6FPS. Totally unplayable. I know of FPSC's framerate issues and it seems that on my outdated rig it's even worse. And I'm one of those teenagers who wouldn't just be able to go and magic a new computer out of nothing. Quad core processors and DX10 nVidia cards don't grow on trees!!! (Although they should...)
