Hi, I'm relatively new to DBPro, and I have much to learn, which I will do; however, I've ran into a snag on a little project I'm working on.

Basically what I'm trying to accomplish is to be able to toggle a map on and off with randomly generated "event" markers place on the map. Everything is going fine except the actual toggle part. I've searched everywhere for a way and the only thing I found was a plug in that's stated in the 21st issue of the magazine on here, but that site is no longer available to download it.

If this has been addressed before then if someone could point me in the right direction I'd be thankful, otherwise is there anyway to make an image, by the number, transparent without using the bitmap commands instead?

Hi, you could try using the 'set sprite alpha' command but this will only work on a sprite. So what you could do is create a sprite that uses the image you want apply the transparency on and then use this command.

Hodgey`s right, and if you want to use a plain instead, you can use set alpha mapping on command.

Just One suggestion S73V30 you have post exactly the same cuestion in two different boards...in order not confuse the people that will help you, you should have to ask just one time....you souldn´t get help sooner if you post twice or three times the same cuestion.

Yah, I didn't mean to post twice, my mistake. I didn't catch the fact at first that it had to be checked first. That's for the help guys!

Since I'm here, I'm still trying to figure out how to toggle the map, I have it set to if the scancode=29 then yadda yadda, but as long as it's held down it'll toggle off and on constantly. Any quick fixes I'm looking over? Thanks in advance.

Ok, and I know I have too many questions, but I just tried to reopen my project is blank. Apparently I have to save both the source and the project? Really blows, but I luckily most of my time was learning new stuff, so won't take too long to redo..

That might be partly my fault. As he posted a thread which clearly should have been on the Newcomers board, I moved it. Not finding it later he probably re-posted it - hence the duplication.

@S73V30:

While you are learning, please stick to the Newcomers board. This board is for more experienced DBPro users and we like to keep it clear of beginners questions if we can. Besides, simple questions are more likely to be answered much quicker on the Newcomers board.

I'll lock this now as your question has been answered, but I'll leave the other one open for further comments that anyone wants to make.
