Is it possible to make the EAI hands with sleeves? I know how to do it with a texture, but it doesn't look realistic at all

And if you know a solution, please post a screenie

In this case, a retexture isn' t enough, you have to remodel the hands to add the watch etc.

Other than that: You won' t get Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 like Graphics in FPSC ever, so forget it before you start trying.

Actually no, I' m in to FPSC and Game Design since 2005 and I still wouldn' t get good results.

If you really want to do it, and no offense at all, you seem a little younger to me, so you should know that its actually a lot of work: You need at least a few months modeling/texturing and rigging practise to get something done.

So with "realistic" you meant "tactical"

But thanks!! This is an older version from a game uploaded in the showcase board.

here you go with a newer one for one of my current projects:

yes, this looks more realistic. It's a shame that the standard version doesn't have sleeves

I can model sleeves (you'll have to put them on the hands, which i can tell you how(easy as pie)) for ten dollars.

I'm gonna be totally honest GJ, you're being overpriced and big-headed here. 10 bucks for a cylinder with a fabric texture is ridiculously overpriced for anyone around here, and if it's going to be of a similar quality to your other models it will be a mess going with EAI's hands.

Also, I'm not trying to flog my own experience (what little experience I have) here, I'm being honest and trying not to be a condescending a-hole. Love me or hate me for it, it's me telling it how it is

Gijs if I get around to it I'll have a look at doing a pair of sleeves. I don't want any money for it, it'd be a good learning experience for me and I need to know how to do fabric and stuff like that

Be warned though, I'll be busy the next few weeks with the Halo beta, so I might not get around to it for a while.

You could add my sleeves from my free machete, Errants hands and my sleeves:

Notice that this is nothing I can do/offer, but if someone feels like they want to use my sleeves (Notice, sleeves only! Not the hands) and rigg them with other hands then you are free to. As long as you dont sell the hands with my sleeves or claims the sleeves as your own.

The easiest way to *fake* sleeves for EAI's weapons is to incorporate the wrist part of the glove into the arm texture.

THe pic shows a (very crude) example with a jeans texture. But adding some shades and a button would make it quite convincing.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

1. They are more than a cylinder with a texture on them. I have modeled in wrinkles and stuff.
2. My texturing has improved, thankyou very much.
3. I can sell them for what I want, and its up to him whether he wants them or not.

And if he's new to the community (No offense OP) he won't know what price is reasonable around here and you'll be cheating him into getting more money than you ought to be.

that is relative......

i mean... you can do that, but you need a giant equip of programers, visual artist... and moooooooorreeee, like any other engine or almost.

it depends A LOT of who is working with the engine

mods for creating a inteligent game,at least

Hail Bond1!!

On-Topic:
Use Toasty's tutorial. (The link posted above by the man himself) It's very easy and not as time consuming, plus anyone can do it!
