Hey, some of you may remember me. I just kinda lurk around here now. I'm kinda looking for an older user to answer this, like KeithC or Bond.
I have a model pack or two that my team made when developing my old FPSC game, Gone (which was never finished), and i was looking to give them away to the community. My site is nearly back up and I'm having my media available in multiple formats.

These models will be made available with normal and specular maps so they look professional. This works in other engines but I'm not aware of any working normal map / specular shaders in FPSC except bond's. Would I have to release this media without the shader in hopes that somebody can use it who has the shader? Or can I package the shader with it? Is the only means of getting this shader through Bond's model pack?

Thanks, I promise you will get a bunch of nice stuff when my site launches.

Hey Inspire,
you should simply release your media as is, then owners of said pack could apply these themselves, as it is bond has worked on getting new shaders into v1.17 which could also be applied to your media as well, best to let owners do it themselves as its a licensed product.
Personally I reckon the shaders with that pack are its biggest selling point, and bond's license usually dont allow redistribution.

You will at some point. I have finals for the next week or so, and I still have to render the normal and specular maps for most of them. And finish my site. So no promises. But it's going to happen and they're going to be free.

And thanks for the help, rolfy and Wolf. I love you guys.
