I need something to do, to contribute to the TGC community, along with something to do in my free time. I was told I would be a good 3D modeler, but I can't seem to get the hang of it after a month. I'm so so at level design but could someone please give me a good thing to do that invoves TGC, or at least something I could show on these forums.
Thanks,
Comorant5

Also: I just started novice sound making. I was short on rescources ideas and time but tell me what you think of what I have. The volume on my program was fidgety at the time so you might need to change some options around. I don't have ideas, like I've said, but anyone with a sound they would like I will look into it. The sounds I have made are TERRIBLE but because I have no idea on what to do. I would love for ideas, hopefully I'll have enough by May 31st to make a sound pack for the x10 revival competition.

Midi's just contain notes, are you trying to make in-game music or south effects?

@DJ Almix and Bugsy Bugsy's right. I would like to makesound effects for my friends are movie makers, yet I would like to make a sound pack for FPSC. (Obviously it would take a LONG time.)

@FredPThank you. I'll look at them now.

edit:

I just looked at Fruity Loops. It looks effective but is the trial a 30-day (or overall limited time) or is it infinite time but with limited settings, options, etc.?

Also about Audacity, it sounds more of a sound editor. I will consider it but it does not sound like much of a sound creator/mixer.

Audacity is good for making sound effects as you can trim and remove noise. Fruity Loops is great for music I use it. (http://www.youtube.com/user/ThechosenDemon)

I don't know how to create most sound effects, but real life stuff you can just record and edit.

Fred,
You beat me to mentioning Fruty Loops, good program, but start your search for stock sounds at looperman, loads of stock sounds, loops, and short tracks there.

Fruity Loops and Looperman go together like milk and cereal.
Last I used loops from looperman, all uploads from looperman himself were free to use long as you gave him credit, but you need to make sure of the licenses from other users their.

Good point, but now this thread has basically turned into a thread where people help me to being a better sound maker. Im bad but I had 10 minutes to make sounds, at least for all I have posted. I am in the progress of a scifi sound pack for the revival competition. I haven't confimed it with Shadowtroid yet though because I haven't had enough time to make sure I have the sounds I need for a full-on pack. I wish I could be focused enough to have FPSC as a hobby, but I'm too bad at level designing. That's where my brother Shadowtroid comes in!
