Is there a lisence you need to buy for selling games?

You can sell the games you make as long as the media you have is for commercial use. Most people who release free media on these forums include this. You can sell a maximum of $5000 anything after that you need to buy a extended commercial lisence.

The commercial license is $999. Not sure where to get it, though. Rick said it was $50000 on youtube, correcting someone that said $5k. Pretty huge typo either way. Just be careful in case you do make $5k. Soviet summed the rest up

I am surprised a moderator hasn't dropped in to give a clear answer.

Not trying to place my neck across the chopping block here, but...
Most product support forums I have been to, the moderators seem to be a bit more knowledgeable about the product and quicker to jump out and clarify something like this.

what do you mean by "commercial use"? Selling a game or distributing it for free? I'm just so stupid.
