okay, I installed DX9, and now I can NEARLY run my code :-P
It complains about this: Runtime error 1512 - Display is not supported by available hardware at line 0.
I tried every screen mode (hidden, full desktop, desktop, window, fullscreen) and various resolutions, but nothing works.
on a note, I can tell that there are no available graphics drivers, other than the standard :-( I am running Windows Server 2008 x64, and the graphic controller is a Ati Rage XL.
Does this mean I have to install a new graphics card??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that card have only 8MB of memory onboard? If so, you'll need a new graphics card: DBPro Requirements

You are absolutely right IanM :-P it has 8MB, half of the required, I never thought of that :-( I thought it was because of the missing driver :-( I only need text output on the server side though But I found this Nvidia Quadro NVS 290 card that should fit into my server
