1. What would be a good mod for someone who doesn't know to much about mods?
There are three main mods available- Fenix, Project Blue, and RPG mod. If you are new to mods, I would suggest Fenix. It is easy to install/setup. Project Blue is also easy to get going right away. RPG mod is not for beginners and is more script-intensive.
2. Could I add more mods with a mod all ready, or remove it with out reinstalling FPSC?
Only one mod can run at a time, since it is in the form of FPSC-Game.exe and replaces the original you have. You can, however, swap them out either manually or with an application called Mod-IT. We have done development where we had Project Blue for one game, RPG in another.
3. What usually comes with these mods?
Each mod has it's own special features and abilities. The best suggestion is to look at the threads for Project Blue, Fenix, and RPG mod to see what they offer. Each mod comes with manuals, scripts, and other items required for the mod.
4. After I get a mod can I get model packs and it wont interfere with the mod?
I've never had an issue with model packs and mods. Remember the mod is in the form of FPSC-Game.exe and may also use a few other additional files (usually in the Files\scriptbank or Files\databank folders as an example).
5. How are they usually installed?
Usually by just copying the supplied FPSC-Game.exe from the mod archive to where your FPS Creator folder is located.
6. Are mods free?
Fenix and RPG are free; Project Blue cost $28 US, and worth the price for what features it has.
7. Whats the best mod to make a RPG?
It depends on how you want the RPG to look. Right now Project Blue does have an inventory system, and it could do an RPG game easily. RPG mod was built specifically for this and handles RPG styles very well..
8. Whats your personal favorite mod?
