Hi All,

I have been developing software and websites for 5 years so i thought i would try my hand at game development.

I got myself a copy of Darkbasic Professional Free and FPS Creator free for which I am using both to create my game. I am using the FPS Creator (which i upgraded so that I could save as exe etc...) to create the maps and Darkbasic to program the more advanced features. I am doing very well with all programming aspects and room building but there is one thing causing me headaches and hopefully someone can shed some light on it.

I brought some office items off the creators store including a fan and a notepad which i wanted on the desk in my 3d office room but the items seem to just be on the floor. I want it so they site on the desk. I have tried move layer up but that takes you to the next floor. Its probably a simple thing but i just cant do it, any suggestions?

Thanks in advanced.

Press enter while you have the entity hovering over the desk and it will automatically set it on top of it. You can also use the page up/page down keys to adjust heights manually.

You can also use the arrow keys to circle around the object, for more precise placement as well.

Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.
