NOTE: I didn\'t know where to post this so mods please move it to the correct area, thanks.

I was trying make a paintball gun weapon and i ran into some DBO files. I then figured out that they were the gun. But i\'m wondering what program do you make/edit DBO files with. I tried DBP but that didn\'t work.

DBO files are created after an object is used, Im sure someone who uses dark basic will give you a better answer.

The .X files are the 3D model.

The .DBO files are the converted versions of the .X models. These are created by the engine.

To modify the weapon you must delete the .DBO files so new ones are created.

I guess you guys are not understanding me. When you pick up the weapon you have it in your hands. What file changes the weapon you have in your hands. The .x files are for when they are on the ground. When I look at the FPE file it says isweapon=ww2/mp40 so what file is that?

Aha, you are in the wrong place. The pickups, and what have you are in the entitybank folder. The weapons themselves are stored in the gamecore\guns folder.

.DBO files are created when a .X file is compiled in FPSC. You can also open .X files and .DBO files in fragmotion.

Windows 7, Amd Athlon 7750 Black Editon (64 bit,3ghz + Dual Core), ATI Readon HD 4870 1gb Edition, 4gb Ram.
