I was looking through "why" it was deleted.

They are saying it was deleted for not being of importance and "nonnotable" software.

lol Gotta love wikipedia. Mostly built from un reliable resources and writers. It is true garbage.

What most likely happened here is either a competing engine or some fanboy of a competing engine sent them the dispute on the article.

Mostly, but it is still a good staring point for those willing to investigate the sources of the information.

You know it...
I wish we had of known this between Nov.5 and Nov. 13 2009. (only a week of discussion before tearing it down?)
It seems the speedy delete might be an indication that it was a biased decision.

This is truly ridiculous! I can read a wiki page on an Atari 2600 game that sold 2 units and I can't read about FPSC?

To be honest i think fpsc was removed on purpose from wikipedia due to bad press,i remember a quarter of the info about fpsc was about how bad the game engine was and about it being unstable and bad customer service along with it being riddled with bugs,in which,i dont think it was a hate attack or fanboy attack as the whole game creator info would have been deleted aswel, this is just a theory of mine and am not blaming anyone but if my product was slated as bad as it was on wikipedia i think i would have removed it too

---edit---
Im not blaming TGC but if they did delete it good on em cos whoever wrote the info on thier product totally slated it which wasnt called for

Hmm, there's an article on Beyond Life, but not on Fps Creator, the software that was used to make the game?

Yes, this is very, very strange...

My guess is it has little to do with TGC or their service. My guess -- like some others here -- is that a competitor got a string of people together to complain and ultimately pulled this off.

Your signature was immature.

Actually, if you read the reasoning behind why they removed it, it sounds like it was because the only outside source for the info about the product was from a Softpedia page created 4 years ago. All of the other information was from TGC itself, so it appeared as an advertisement.

I agree with Gunn3r.

Also, I don't think that this is that bad. Not like it had lots of views, and to be honest, FPS Creator is a small product. We like it, but be honest, we are a secluded community. I don't think it was a competing engine, just too small an engine to have a page.

The more funny thing is, there's still about FPSC in finnish wikipedia:
http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/FPS_Creator
And it doesn't cite ANY sources, or anything.

It was pulled for being a small un-important peice of software and in truth that's what it is. Because in the end we all know that c++ or c# is the way to go. Also wikipedia is as good as any real dictionary for those of you out there who don't know how to google.

Life is no fun when every thing works out as you planned it.
