i had a post back that was something like this but it was not what i was looking for. as time has progressed i have gained a better understanding on C++ and other bits link with it.

i have lately seen a bit of DirX related code and from it and having a little look at it with some theory i gather that it can be possible to draw 2d shapes like the GDK commands but with Direct X and faster than the GDK commands with alpha transparency.

im looking at making a simple class that can do 2D drawing of 2D shapes with the alpha channel and transparency. i am just not up to that skill level, im hoping someone could point me in the right direction for this or have code for drawing 2D shapes fast with Direct X way with alpha and transparency.

Sorry if you dont understand much of it, im real bad at English.

What to do now?

Matty refers to Cloggy's D3D functions in this thread. See if this helps!
