When adding media files that are smaller than 1KB in size, the compiler hangs during compilation process when trying to build exe files with "attach media files" option enabled.

No error will be reported, even not in the ErrorReport.txt.

Well, I just tried it, it compiles just fine with those settings.
Had a 1x1 pixel JPEG included in the media, 651 bytes, it worked fine. Sorry, either its your computer, DirectX, or something else.

PS: I've got my Dark Basic Pro fully upgraded. No problems here.

Strange thing. I just was going mad the last 1 1/2 hour trying to find out why in the hell my project didn't want to compile with included media (having this < 1KB image inside). When I removed the inclusion of this file it worked.

I also tried to reproduce this behaviour under different circumstances and it happened everytime.

Everything is set up a correctly on my machine, latest drivers and both versions of DBPro (4.1 / 5.1).

What OS are you using? (maybe is this an os specific problem? can't imagine that, but who know?)

I'll give it a closer look ... u said you're running the latest? (5.1)

Yep, latest, I'm on a:

Windows XP HP Pavilion 512x
Intel Celeron 1.3 Ghrz Processor
512MB Ram
32.3 GB Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce 5200 128MB Ram
Latest Video Card Drivers
Direct X 9.0b

Everything runs fine

On my side:

Windows 2000 SP4
Intel Pentium IV 1.7 Ghz
1GB Ram
NVidia GeForce 5200 FX 128mb 128bit
Latest Detonator Driver
DirectX9b

I have read that the upgrade from 5.0 to 5.1b resolved some issues (that I had when installting 5.0 at that time) regarding 5.0, but 4.1 and 5.1 are both working correctly.

So maybe there could be some issue regarding the compilation under Windows 2000 ...

Would be interesting to know if this happens to others, too?
