Hi guys,

I want to add some more realism to my models by adding normal and specular maps, but my question is, how do I add them to my model? I know how to make the maps but I don't know how to add them to my models. I'm using MS3D if that's useful information

you can use .dss format and give the name to it like x_D2.dss x_s.dss x_N.dss something like this.

You have to add it to the specular bitmap for the material your using

Windows 7, Amd Athlon 7750 Black Editon (64 bit,3ghz + Dual Core), ATI Readon HD 4870 1gb Edition, 4gb Ram.

Hm, seeming as you've invested so much money into Max, I'd expect you to be able to do that, or at least take the time to learn how to use it...

@marc steene: I didn't invest in it. An uncle of mine had it, but he didn't use it anymore, so I could buy it off him for a cheap price. I only use max for converting. I think it's too difficult to use. I use Milkshape atm, and it's really easy to use. So when you're used to MS3D, max is really complex
