Was wondering if there was a Blender version of the FPAS skeleton out there? I have searched but found nothing yet. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sure would be nice. Milkshape is ok and I waisted I mean spent good money on it for all the export options but animations are not the best since it wont let you have more then one bone for each vert. Meaning that you cant have verts be manipulated by more then one bone.

If I remember right there is a milkshape import in one of the older versions of blender. You could maybe use that to import the animations or you could export from milkshape bvh and import that into blender and rig that. Also I think gamerx did some tutorials on here for blender.

It didn't take me very long to import it, but this is a blender form of the fpas. It is the very basic animations. This would be the skeleton that Cp and I were using for our animations. As for exporting the animations from blender, I will leave that to you.

To be honest I have never really tried to export animations from blender and I wouldn't know where to start, but good luck and I hope this helps you and others. Enjoy!!

Thats great, thanks. I am pretty new to Blender and not familiar with the interface quite yet but getting there. I will give this a try but how did you go about importing it?

Np. What I did was made a bvh file and imported it to blender by selecting import as armature. That might not be the correct way of doing it, but it's done.

So how is this working for you all. I noticed a few of you had downloaded. I am curious about how it exports.

So far I have not been able to attach my mesh to it so then I imported another one and more or less the same problems. It either have problems with random bones or just get all messed up in general. I have made my own skeleton with full hand rigging and FIRESPOT bone and it attached fine so now I just have to animate.

Took me 4hrs(2 of which were trying to make stock skeleton work) to make the first animations which was him getting hit and falling down but like stock FPSC everything.. unfinished ..I made him get back up. My plan is to do the basics of what my character needs to do but if I can I will add as many animations as possible then put the skeleton on here.

If anyone can get a mesh to properly attach to a skeleton in Blender please let me know and I can just add to animation instead of redoing them all.

Donwon, the skeleton I gave is the bip bones that have all the animations stored. You simply have to rig your character with a new skeleton and copy rotation, location and all that good stuff. If you have used blender for awhile then you know about ik's and how to rig them, if not you can use this simple tutorial to rig with the skeleton I gave out. This will save you alot of time in animation. I might have sometime later this week to make a proper skeleton, but I have been working long hours as it is.

Hey thanks a bunch. I might just do the anims to my skeleton. That way I can focus on new anims at the end and leave the originals on there. I had a good start with animations but the rig I set up was not that great so I made one with better controllers. Hopefully I can figure out the bvh stuff just so I can get to making the custom actions I want the rig to do. Thanks for all your help.

I have a rig/skeleton you can all use that has some animations but feel free to add whatever you want to it. I named the FIRESPOT bone but dont seem to work in game so that might need some attention. Let me know if you fix it or want to share your added animations. Download attached.

Sorry for double post but since there is a download I thought it was needed.
