(Progress is going to be a bit laggy for the next couple weeks, picked up a client to build a site for a local auto shop, but I will be working on this at night)
I thought I wasn't getting any emails from my contact form on the website, well it turns out that some one on my server (this site is on a shared hosting plan) has gotten this server flagged for massive spam, so in turn all emails to me from the contact form are going to my spam folder. I am getting on this and those of you that have sent me emails through the contact form will get replies within the next 48 hours.

I have index cards out the wazoo spread and stacked all over the place. (trying to organize resources and such)
So for an undetermined amount of time, this site will only support games, mods, and resources supporting and created with TGC products. I know the site itself is moving slow, but I am learning a lot and I assure you there is more happening on my desk and desktop than meets the eyes, for now.
I am building a site for Indie Games at PCgameDROPS Something for your PC to chew on!. A website for you to have your games listed for free.

Example Game Listing can be found HERE
*5 Star rating system has been added.
*If you find your game listed and DO NOT want it listed, please use the contact form with subject "REMOVE MY GAME" and your game will be removed ASAP, provided you prove you are the proper owner of the game in question.
To have your game listed, use the contact form HERE with the subject "LIST MY GAME", include the required information and media per the Example game listing.
* As of now, the front page will show only the 5 most current posts. This includes News, Interviews, game listings and other articles. When a game is listed the new listing will only remain on the front page until 5 more posts are made. How ever, in the right sidebar, 20 of the most recent articles will be displayed, so even after your listing leaves the front page there will still be a link in the sidebar until 20 more posts are made. This will extend the life of your listing existing on the front page. 20 of the most recent comments site wide will also be displayed, potentially bringing visitors from the front page to your listing. However, If I find that this is being abused, I WILL REMOVE it.
* In order to bring your listing back to the front page again, a major update or revision must be made to your game to justify this.
Example interview post can be found HERE.
If you would like to do a video interview, once again use the contact form HERE, with the subject "INTERVIEW ME".
Note: instead of creating a new post each time I update the services or ideas to be included at PCgameDROPS, I will update this post. So if you revisit this thread, please re-read this post.

In the beginning it will just be a place to have your games listed. I have already gone through three revisions of what the game listings will look like, in order to ensure the highest possibility that your game(s) will be downloaded. I think once I get down to the fifth revision it will be substantial enough to begin listing your games.

I will not be providing hosting for your files as of yet. (that would be very expensive)

There are more details to come, please visit the site and use the contact form, make a post on the official launch post, or of course leave you questions here.

Moderators, please, if you have any concerns about this post and what I plan to accomplish with my website, ask me any questions you like here. I plan on being as transparent as possible and have the best of intentions for this project.

Without further ado, developers, if you would like to have your games listed (free listing), please make a post with general information about your game, where it can be found, link to the project homepage, link to video (preferably youtube) and any questions or concerns you may have.

[edit] Also, I am juggling the idea of doing video interviews with developers using skype, yahoo or windows live, to be recorded with camtasia and uploaded to youtube. This could end up as a requirement in order to have your game listed. I want to bring the people playing the games closer to the developers.

Working the layout for the game listings, I will require the source video of the game trailer, will be uploaded to the youtube channel.

What do you guys think?

Thank You[i]

Thank you Bugsy, take a look at the example game listing and put together the required info and materials. Use the contact form there as instructed. ( I want to use the process set in place there in order to work out any kinks in the flow)

Again, thank you. I appreciate your interest. I know I will get hit hard with criticism here, but I am prepared for it and ready to make adjustments as needed if they can be justified. It is your site too.

Question, I am doing a game in (DBP). Can i post it to that site, Or does it have to be fpsc. This also depends on when i get everything up and running.

Does not have to be an FPSC game nor a fps game. Just an Indie Game. Once we get the ball rolling on all of this, hopefully developers that use other engines will gain interest as well.

I moved the Newsletter signup form off of the sidebar and onto it's own page in order to make sure the "Recent Articles" and "Recent Comments" get more attention.

Okay, it is sleepy sleep time for me.
Bugsy and BlackFox, We will work on your listings tomorrow.
Looking forward to working with more of you.

Now, Before anyone goes slapping together games for the sole purpose of listing with my site. For the time being I will only be posting games that have received praise within the forum.

A quality standard has to be met in order for site visitors to return to download more games. I don't want any site visitors to a bad experience and decide not to download anymore games.

Thanks Parsnips,

but the layout is simply a theme for wordpress from woothemes that I have done very minor editing to. I will put just a little effort into maybe a texture for the background shortly. I think it works for now though.

When I get more games listed and other content I think I may go for more of a magazine layout, but it isn't a big concern right now.

Also Parsnips, thank you for contacting me through the site and offering your help.

In an attempt to have some uniformity, how feasible would it be to have all of your files hosted at filefront.. or can we all agree on another file host?

I absolutely hate filefront as I always get bombarded with pop ups and other crap. I am all for megaupload.

Hmm, haven't had any problems with popups from Filefront. However, the wait however many seconds from Megaupload is a bit annoying.
