Basically how do you set them up correctly? especially when it comes to the classes and sub classes. Believe me, I've search all over google, but I can't find examples that work with GUI's because they don't create GUI's from scratch, they just build on an existing structure.

That is the GUI tutorial I was following. It never got finished, but the main idea is there and I *think* that is what you are talking about, not entirely sure though. I have built on that same GUI design and it is currently my most complete GUI system.

GIDustin, Cheers for the link, I've actually posted in that thread and yes thats a good example of linked list. Problem is it's the only one good example I can find, but doesn't have subclasses. Also because it's the only one (credit to Aaron, it's a pretty good one), I can't compare methods to find out which is the most efficient, hence why I'm asking.

What do you mean by subclasses?

I have been tinkering with that same GUI setup now for about a year and a half and have really optimized it down. I have it running at a fraction of the time that it took in his tutorial. It would be neat to find a linked list GUI to compare to, but I am happy with how mine performs. It is now up to 5,500 lines for just the GUI alone, and it requires a few of my other library files otherwise I would post it.
