Please help.

Whenever i try to compile and run my programs it gives me this in the output: Compilation Failed(syntax errors)

Its very frustrating!

1- Just write something like 'Here is my code:'
2- Click the 'code' button in the top right corner of the "Post Forum Message" box (at the bottom of this screen)
3- Paste in your code
4- Click the code button again

It should look something like the image below!



EDIT: if you want it to look a little more colourful change {code} (in square brackets) to {code lang=dbp} (in square brackets)

Here's my code:



This is one program i tried. But any program i try (even example programs) doesn't work! It comes up with the same thing. Is it something wrong with the program? I have DBPro Free.

Well, they don't come much simpler than that...

It should work fine. I'd suggest un-installing then re-installing DBPro as it sounds like something went wrong with the installation to me.

EDIT: Sorry for replying before your post has been passed by the moderators, might be confusing to future readers of this post (maybe your post will be put in before this one once it has been passed...)

Ok i tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it but it still does the same thing. It says:
Compiling project...
Failed to 'LoadDBA'
Compilation Failed(Syntax Errors)

What is wrong!!!! Ahhh

Not that I am aware of, it could be that you are not including the files correctly but considering this is happening multiple times and on very simple code I'd be surprised...

I would try one of the other DBPro editors out there, maybe 'codesurge' or 'Synergy' (type the names into the search bar), maybe there's a problem with the IDE.

The error looks like it's trying to load a function from somewhere?

Does this happen when you create a new blank project?
Have you properly registered DBP?
Has it ever worked?

what happens if you try and run someone elses code? (However simple, try the attached sample code)

In DBPro it does happen even with new blank project. I have properly registered DBP. It has never worked.
