Have you copied the texture files across to the same place where you've exported to? Milkshape seems to only export the mesh and not the textures.

The texture isn't stored in the .x file. You need to create an .fpe file for your entity and plug in the entity's texture path from there.

textured = myentity.tga

EDIT: Here's an example;

--------------------------------------------------
;header
desc = Bedtray

;ai
aiinit = Appear1.fpi
aimain = Default.fpi
aidestroy = Disappear1.fpi

;spawn
spawnmax = 0
spawndelay = 0
spawnqty = 0

;orientation

model = Bedtray.x (your mesh)
offx = 0
offy = 0
offz = 0
rotx = 0
roty = 0
rotz = 0
scale = 145
defaultstatic = 1
materialindex = 3
collisionmode = 1
strength = 0

;visualinfo

textured = Bedtray.tga (your texture)
castshadow = 0
--------------------------------------------------

You need to UV Map your model.
FPSC only uses ONE texture for a model, so you need to put all textures on one big image and uvmap your model.
This also works in Milkshape!
