I was wondering if it was feasible to have multiple fpsc installs in different directories in order to test different mods, model packs, to help keep projects separated and more organized.

This wouldn't cause any conflicts with the program would it?

There is a guide that outlines this. You can find it here:

Installing second FPSC with use of mod

We tried it here and had a few issues, which led me to create our application Mod-IT. Our app allows the user to place their mod exe files in the Mod-IT folders and then with a click of a button you can swap in/out the mod you wish to use.

The positive side to Mod-IT is that I have sucessfully tested with Fenix, Project Blue, and RPG mods. The downside is that there is some file copying the user must do (such as copying the mod's exe file into the correct Mod-IT folder, and copy the required files for that mod). We did not do anything with the application as far as model packs, etc.

Thanks BlackFox, looking over that thread now.

[update]
Ok, so I what I have done so far is just rename the original install.
Copy that and paste it within programfiles/thegamecreators/
Ended up with programfiles/thegamecreators/fpsc-original-copy)
(not precisely but you get the idea)
Then I went and deleted all entities except /generic and /darkcity (within fpsc-original-copy)
When opening this particular exe (thegamecreators/fpsc-original-copy, the entitybank from withing the IDE is cleared of all entities that I deleted.
I built a quick map using this and have no problems so far.
I will search for and try to make an fpsc directory just for a mod (a free one) and update here.

..Ok after messing with the copied fpsc install for a while, it started freezing up and giving me errors.

Oh well, one install at a time will do for now.
