OK so out of eight WIP I have actually only finished one game... but that's all about to change as this one is all but done!!

Keys are:
Player 1

W- Accelerate
S- Brake/reverse
A- Turn Left
D- Turn Right
C- Use 'Power' / Fire
L-Shift- Handbrake

E- Turn Turret Right

F- Barrel Down

Player 2

EDIT: Also, for development purposes only you can edit the amount of "Drift" or "Powersliding" using the UP and DOWN keys!!!

2 Player (split screen), single player to follow
8 Vehicles to choose from, each with their own unique 'Power'
A really rubbish Rock soundtrack (if anyone wants to do the music BMG!)
A football
Two goals
5 minute timer (most goals after 5 mins wins)
Add Sound FX
More Pitches and a 'Pitch Selection' page


To Do:
Add better music
Add some pickups
More Menu items (IE. Key select, display options)
...probably a few other thing (ideas?)

REQUIRES PHYSX TO BE DOWNLOADED IF NOT ALREADY INSTALLED ON YOUR PC!! Automatically takes you to the NVidia web site to look for the correct driver but you can get it HERE:

Thanks @Dark Dragon!

Just a quick note, I've noticed a couple of errors/problems worth pointing out (IMO)...

1-The camera does not currently turn with the turret as it logically should (fixed but not released)

2-The game runs very slowly on my home PC and I'm looking into that

3-It's possible to end up outside the 'Pitch' falling into the endless 3D void below, I'll put a fix in for this (for both players and the ball!)

Some further ideas are;
Anisotropic filtering (depending upon performance)
Lightmapped and more detailed levels / pitches
Skybox / DarkClouds sky (depending upon performance)
Pimp my ride screen after vehicle selection

Update: New demo coming soon...

Here's what I've added:
New Pitch and pitch selection screen (Pitch 1: Street Brawl, Pitch 2: Pitch Invasion), see images below
Powers finished for all vehicles:
-Bond car (Front mounted machine-guns)
-Taxi (Pick-up ball)
-Cop car (Put opposition in jail)
-Hummer (Shockwave)
-Transit van (Horn blast)
-Hearse (Exploding coffins)
-F1 (Speed boost)
-Tank (Turret / Cannon)
Sound effects for all vehicles (engines and powers)
Menu sound effects
numerous bugs fixed IE. Ball/cars could be knocked out of pitch and into void before (fixed)
Added exhaust smoke

Anyway there are probably more little additions but not quite ready for full release yet... here are a couple of screenshots of the two available pitches (so far):

Another update, sorry for the multiple posts but I had to share this and it contains images!!

I've just added Anisotropic filtering (x16) to the game and I wanted to share the difference in quality with you (the top half has filtering on and the bottom half is without);


I'm getting no visible impact in fps (in fact if you look at the image the one with AF turned on is running faster than the other at this point in time!!)

Also added lots of other stuff...
General debris added to "Street Brawl"
Thugs being chased by security guards on "Pitch Invasion"
Rain, and rooftop equipment added to "Rooftop Rumble"
Restart now possible after/during a game and escape brings up the quit menu throughout the game

I'm nearing completion on this game now so if anyone has any ideas get them in quick. I wanted this to be a quick project as I'm still working on several other projects!

Those screenshots look really nice! I love the different levels. The only thing I would do is maybe, somehow, make the texture sharper when you are closer to it. Maybe apply a detail map to it? Looks good though.

Thanks Hassan!

Had enough for tonight but in the last few hours I've added quite a few more sound effects including; the referee's whistle on scoring and end of game; crowd cheering at end; ball hit; skidding sounds for asphalt, grass and water as well as lots more improvements to gameplay.

Looking forward to playing this one!!

impressive vids, i like the special effects (the bubble and that kncokback thing), bu i think the cars are too slow, on both moving and turning

Actually they can go a lot faster than that, maybe I should post some videos with slightly more action. If you are talking about the Demo the handling is much better now too...

I'll be uploading a new demo over the next few days which will be the first real Beta version. It will be a 'nearly' complete version and should give a better idea of gameplay. I need to finish some bits off and squeeze it into a smaller download though first!!

I've shrunk the file down to about 26Mb zipped for the time being but there will be more music to add later...

Still some menu options to finish off but I thought now that the keyboard is editable I would post a current version. There have been lots of additions and the game is very nearly complete so any feedback would be appreciated!!

Just a minor bump as I'm adding some stuff in tonight that might nearly finish it off!!

Thing is I've been trying to finish "EnviroSCOPE" AKA "CloudBOX" so I'm close but as yet no cigar for either...

EDIT: I'll be uploading V1.1 in the next 24 hours, just made some major adjustments and some final tweeks. I'll be uploading a version with only one music track as in the final version you'll be able to use your own music!! If all seems well with this version a final release will be next!
