Hey guys,

I have a really cool model of a ninja that I bought (from 3drt.com). It has loads of nice animations in it. I really want to use it in a web game, but I don't believe the model is that efficient - i.e. I really think it could be optimised a bit. When it comes to web games, every poly counts!

So could anyone help me out? I can't post the model here for obvious legal reasons. I'm rubbish at 3D modelling and wouldn't know where to start. I am using an MD2 exported version (exported using Milkshape) in my game. I don't expect anyone to do this for free, so am willing to throw some dollars your way (PayPal only) for your time. Basically I want to make it as low poly as possible, while retaining the animations / texture mapping.

Please email me if you've got any questions, or would like to take this challenge on [email protected]

Cheers,

Rich
PS You can see my first experiments with this on my blog.

Sounds relatively simple. The hardest part should be cleaning up the rigging after the initial poly reduction/cleaning up. I'd be up for it. I'll email you in a bit (edited because i can't read apparently).

crysis what he wants is a model of a ninja that was already made to be reduced to as low as possible while retaining the animations and texture map. which means you would have to run through and check the weighting and then uv map it to the existing texture map. which may or may not be very simple. and he its to my knowledge only as a milkshape file.

and not to mention that this was posted back in may.
