i've been having trouble with "dbproimagedebug.dll". whenever i compile a certian application in dark basic pro, it works fine on my computer, but when i try it on a different computer(without db pro), i get the error message "Failed to load (3:dbproimagedebug.dll).

I found the dll file in: c:/program files x86/the game creators/dark basic professional/compiler/plugins. based on reading stuff online, it sounds like a problem with the compiler. i also heard about an application that repairs your db pro installation, would that help?

if you know what to do, or at least know about the installation repair application, please reply. if you need more info, please reply also.

You probably don't have a recent enough DirectX version. Try finding the latest version of the DirectX 9.0c redistributables on Microsoft's website and installing them.

Usually the "DBProBasic3DDebug.dll" is caused by;
Out of date directx.
Out of date graphics card drivers.
Crappy graphics card that is useless for 3d.

i did that on the computer with db pro, but i think it already has the latest version because there was no progress bar or anything when i installed it. i shouldn't have to do that on the other computer(without db pro) because it has windows 7 . but, whatever, i'll try it anyway, i guess...

You should. I wouldn't think Windows 7 would come with DX9.0c, much less the proper version of it. DX10 won't do.

wait a minute... i downloaded some directx 9.0c SDK here:

http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx-download.html

...and now instead of saying "Failed to load (4:dbpro3ddebug.dll)" it is saying "Failed to load (2:dbprobasic3ddebug.dll)". is that a yay?
