Hello TGC Forums. I've stopped making props for now to move onto weapon making.
I've looked at a few tutorials on youtube and other sites and I've finally decided to give it a go.
As mentioned in the title of this thread, this is a Work In Progress, it may get finished, it may not.

Ok, here's the reference image:

The Model itself (Untextured at the moment):

Nice work,

although this should be in 3d chat as there is no FPSC screenshot. Also just for the record, you wrote TGA not TGC.

Thanks,

Ben

Nice gun so far.
I would suggest you round and smooth the handle a bit.

Yeah, I'll start that now

EDIT:
Actually, I'll start it again, I messed the gun up in a few areas. Also, I'll be able to smooth the handle quicker and get it out of the way

Thanks. I only started using Blender (Well, started 3D Modeling altogether) about 6 days ago. I didn't know people would like it this much

Ok, started from scratch once again, only this time it's looking a whole lot better

Still need to add the pump and a lot more details.

Edit:
Can someone tell me how to display the poly count in Blender?

I love your gun, and it's better then my guns are. Hope your better at Uv mapping, I can make guns, but can never texture them... Also, animateing things in blender is difficult, I haven't figured that out yet, I'd possibly ask Kraven Wolf if he knew how to get it to work, or someone else that uses blender. Good luck, I like it.

I hate this box, but hey it's there.....
..... It's still there.....

Well quick crit'

The barrel has far to many segments, you can get away with 8-9 with smoothing groups and/or a normal bake. It sill looks flat the gun itself shouldm be broke up into segemnts. Bevel and chamfers should give this effect along with rescaling areas.

For the pump area, you best to use a setup similar to this;

Its a 9 sided cylinder with a extruded side, then rescaled. You missed out the block that attaches the pump rail to the rest of the gun, so it just looks funny right now. The pump needs to clip onto a flat rail for it to work smoothly and hold in place.

If you run into any problems just post up.

Thanks for the criticism. I've been working on a few other projects lately as well, though I really shouldn't post them here. Maybe a Mod could change the title of the thread to "WolfeClaw's Models"?

Anyway, back to fixing up the shotgun
