Simple question, is there any way to set emissive on only a single limb of an object?

It's rather frustrating that most of the basic 3D commands don't seem to have a limb counterpart.

Thanks

Not that I'm aware of but you could clone the object (EDIT: or better still use "Instance Object") and use the "Exclude Limb" command to show only the limb of the object you are using "Set Object Emissive" on and exclude that limb on the other object.

Depends how complicated the object is I guess and whether or not you're using individual limb rotation / offsets etc. on any other limbs in the object...

Another option might be to use a 'glued' object instead of a limb...

...or to use "Set Limb Effect" and highlight the limb another way?

Aha. Using "Set Limb Effect" with a simple diffuse shader seems to do the trick. Slightly annoying that a shader has to be written for that method, but it's a decent work around.

"Instance Object" also worked, however this I prefer the shader method, simply because it's easier to apply, and I only need this effect for debugging.

Thanks much.
