Hello guys! Im new in making entities so i want some help..
I made an entity with sketchup...then i used MakeEntitiesFromXFiles to convert the .x file to .fpe
As far all were ok.. I went into the entity and i selected my model (my model has color) but when i put it in my map/lvl it comes with white color not with the color that i colored it in sketchup... Anyone can help me pls??

i dont know if you are using multilple textures. if that is the case. make your entity dynamic.
but if you have alot models that are dynamic. it will slow your pc.
(why should you slow your pc only to show textures?)

its better to make a new UVmap for your entity, textured that.
and make it static.

Nope. Textures don't slow your PC down. If the entity is dynamic, it means it has to run the physics engine. So that's what lowers the performance.

Of course textures slow your PC down.

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

try putting textures and colors in a texture and then the positions, such as I did look here

Try using a 4096x4096 in a game of yours, that will lag the whole game, not even a hardcore game development kit like UDK can handle that much quality. Textures will slow your PC down because the Graphics Card has to render every pixel of it perfectly, therefore meaning that larger textures take longer to render and, dependant on the Graphics Card, can slow the game down drastically .
