So I decided to buy FPS Creator X10, but right before buying it I realized my video card wasn't compatible. I have Windows Vista, and I read somewhere that the earlier FPS Creator doesn't work on Vista. Does this mean I cannot use any versions of FPS Creator whatsoever?

FPSC X9 works with Vista. Part of the minimum requirements on the box. If you want a cheap video card that will run X10, you'd be good with a GeForce 9500GS/GT. 9500 GS was my old card and it got 150-160FPS on X10. I believe you can get one on eBay for $30 or near that. If not, it's $75 retail at the moment, I believe.
