Well sorry for saying, but falling is already a parachute kinda fall, besides the hearting part. The whole falling thing is very bad programmed.

You could tho, make a hided cube below the player that goes up (but less weight as player) (there is something about that in prperties). Then u can simulate a falling slower parchute effect.
