hi, i just bougt dark game studio, every things seems to work, but
when i`m trying to active any software of the dark game studio (dark ai, physics, ect..), its reporting back unknown product.
i did try to active all the neccersy plugins, no luck, i even
tried the TGCO-ONLINE.exe to activte follewing product, even unstalling / restalling, no luck luck at all.
i have tried to contact the TGC support, and have tried that before, they don`t answer, i a`m really getting extremly tired of TGC, maybe i should use another product instead, if i can`t get those plugin activated in the future, at least i want my money back.
i hope my dvd will arive soon.

I have found that copying the activation code from the email is not always the best option. You could try copying the whole email into notepad, then making sure that you copy the serial/activation code in it's entirity, as a single line.

Persevere, I'm sure you'll get it working and support are probably just a bit understaffed right now, holidays and such. Making sure the serial is right, is probably the first thing they'd ask you to do though. The only other thing that trips me up, is the DBPro location in the system registry, often I have to set that manually when reformatting my PC etc as I can't reinstall (no disc, scratched to death).

I had a similar problem once, there is a slight possibility that you might have missed one letters/numbers off the end of the serial code when you copied it, happens quite easily, or like Van B said. I had the problem with one or two of the things on the disc too but i got them all working in the end

thansk, i will try it´t, sorry if i sound angry, but i hade when these things happens, i don hope, i come in a unsolved situation with the software uneabled to activate.
sorry for my bad temper.
i did allso install dark bsic pro only, on another pc (i have 3),do
i have permission or license to do that, and is this maybe causing the problems ?. (dark basic pro free).

i have been looking forward to use dark game studio very much-
.
here is some info about my pc, which i use often.

athlon amd x2 2,4 mhz, vista danish, servicepack 2.
3gb ram, 350 gb hardisk.
nvidia gt 8500 pci express 2.
norton anitvirus 2010 full product.
visual studio express 2008
direct x
dont know which version i have installed).

should i get a update of dark basic pro ?.

My biggest problem is grabbing an extra character (usually a null character) at the end of the line in an email. I have gotten where I am real careful about that so I can save myself for extra headaches. I can not remember if that was a problem with TGC's emails or not, but always something to look out for.

I did discover at one point i installed darklights on my pc and registered it and all was good, i thne installed it onto my laptop and tried activating it and it wouldn't let me, it's possible that multiple installations might not be possible, i'm not sure though

i did try to paste serialno to notepad (maybe i should try it, using microsoft word?).
i only installed dark basic pro, the free version, not the bougt version on 3 pc`s, and i only did install dark game studio on 1 pc, which i use often.
i actueally never encountered any problems when ordering software product / downloading from the internet, not 1 single problems, but with the dark game studio i still have those activating problems!.
activating dark basic pro whatever that version is, i never get any activating problems at all,thats weird, because i do the exactly same thing as dark game studio, paste that serial number from my email (yahoo!) to notepad and then to the dark basic pro activating module or whatever its called, only dark studio game wont activate, and we`re not talking about 1 plugin, all the plugins from dark studio game software bundle thats need a serial number gives me trouble ????.
i`m running out of idea`s !,any ideas ?.
how hard can it be ?, we`re not talking about making or programming a sciencetific space shuttle program (not to affend anybody!), but it really should be straight forward, should`nt it ?.
I wish TGC could take out the activating module from TGC product, or maybe TGC should use a different technology like the one STEINBERG use in their product a usb dongle protection ?, maybe that to far off ?.

i was hoping to get my newly bougt plugin to work today, 1 week has gone, no sucess.

i`m thinking to buy windows 7, 64 bit, but i don`t hope windows 7, 64 bit version will refuse my freeware programs as well as my bougt software, they`re all 32 bit programs!.

maybe i just made a mistake, by installing the free version on 3 pc`s, properly i should never have done, maybe this is causing the exact problems, i think it would be possilbe for TGC to reset their activation server and perhaps give me a new serial number(s).
now i`m gonna try to uninstall dark baswic pro, and reinstall the free version (don`t not what`s free or not, thats confusing, when talking about dark basic pro).

anyway i got my dark game studio dvd from TGC, fantastic.

i`m allso going to install GDK.NET on my pc, hope its not giving any activating problems.

i did noticed some user on the TGC forum has the same activating problems as mine with dark gane studio.

now i did uninstall every thing again, ereased all dark basic pro keys etc. with regedit plus all relevant folders on harddisk, no luck, nothing works, then i finally tried to install the dark basic pro free version and after that all the dark game studio plugins with serialno, NOW EVERY THINGS WORKS 100%, i just found what causing the problems, the plugins won`t active with the dark basic pro version from the dark game studio bundle software (dbpro_5_4_high.exe) !..
i prefer the dbpro_5_4_high "version".
i need a update of the file "dbpro_5_4_high" !!?.

I get dozens of e-mails like this every day. The support is easy, if you are not getting response from the support service (which I primarily run) then this is down to two possibilities.

1) Either your browser is never submitting the e-mail to us, in which case consider using another.
2) When our service replies it goes straight to your spam-box or is filtered by your ISP service. Under which circumstance, it's better to use an alternative e-mail service.

The product unknown message, simply means you are attempting to install plugin's not supported by the default 1.054 or 1.062 we provide. This can be easily fixed by installing the latest upgrade.

Your activation problems are likely down to this issue, when you have applied up upgrade, run TGCOnline from your compiler folder. You can then type in your activation codes again. If you are getting error messages such as "cannot connect to server" then you need to disable your Norton and windows standard firewalls, if issues persist disable your routers firewall as well. Once activated be sure to re-enable all firewalls to maintain your security.

Again, this is a standard solution packet. The only reason I wouldn't respond to it, is if I did not receive the e-mail, or you failed to receive my reply.

i recently got a respons from TGC support, which TGC support explained that, my activating problems was due to dark basic pro and i needed an update,which i just downloaded/installed, every thing work now, allso TGC support is working well.

only dark gdk dosent work properly with c++ 2008 express, but this is because i don`t know how to configure c++ with dark gdk yet, nor had the time to do it. (i`ve do it later).
dark gdk.net with visual basic 2008 express works terific.
anyway, thanks Daniel, for you responds.

now i`m learning PHP / MYSQL.
