Is it possible to test the game with the lightmap quality ramped up, or do you have to build the game?

I've tried changing the setting to 100 in setup.ini as suggested in other posts to get rid of the lights highlighting the segment seams, but it always gets back to 5?

Thanks

If I'm not mistaken 5 is the best quality. I'm not sure though, don't take my word for it

It can be turned up much higher than 5. Mine is set to 100.

@Jack Attack, try closing FPS Creator, and then adjusting the lightmap quality in the setup.ini. Save the changes, close the setup, and then run FPS Creator again.

You know, I'm sure that's what I did, but I'm just trying it again to make sure... Watch this space.

Any ideas why I can't get a second skybox to load for a second level?

code in setuplevel.fpi:
; Setup Level Stats
; :state=0:sky=skybank\ww2\Gas
:state=0,levelequal=1:sky=skybank\scifi\Mar
:state=0,levelequal=2:sky=skybank\scifi\Neo
etc...

It still loads the Mars skybox.

Ta.

Well, what can I say, it's worked! I can't have been closing FPSC before making the changes to setup.ini!!!

I built a game called Escape the Stock Entity a while ago, but left the lightmapquality at 5 so it looks terrible in comparison to something I'm now working on. Still the game was half decent...

Anyway, thanks for that.

Hello!
I have seen the sunlight tutorial, and I was impressed by the shadows and the light quality, but I could not manage to get it into my game. I am using Project Blue mod, with v1.15 FPSC. My problem is that I don't have realistic character shadows or shadows of objects. (I have no shadows cast by objects) What I have is a black spot under the characters... not shadow...
I have tried setting the dynamicshadow=2 ; and lightmapquaity=199 in the setup.ini, but it did nothing:S
What setting do I need for real moving dynamic shadows? I know Project Blue is capable for that, because it even has fullscreen shaders like bloom, motion blur, etc. And what settings are needed for the best grapchics quality in the setup.ini file? No matter how slow the loading time is, I have 4Gb RAM, above 2.5Ghz quad core CPU, and a Radeon 5770 1GB.

My next question is about quality again. After doing some modifications to my setup file and placin some animated sprites, and some other objects into my game, a "quality change.txt" appeared in my files folder, writing this:
" Listed below are object limbs that were too large to fit onto a texture and had their quality reduced
To allow the original quality to be used try splitting your object up into limbs and splitting large polygons into several smaller ones
Object Number: 70000, Limb Number: 19, New Quality: 0.355556Object Number: 70000, Limb Number: 17, New Quality: 0.237037Object Number: 70000, Limb Number: 7, New Quality: 0.237037Object Number: 70000, Limb Number: 4, New Quality: 0.355556Object Number: 70000, Limb Number: 2, New Quality: 0.355556 "

Why did I get this message? My computer is capable to handle it. Or this is the limit of the FPSC? but what kind of limit? Too high setup.ini settings or what? Too many objects placed? I can't believe, because it can process even normalmapped and diffuse mapped and parallax mapped segments without any mistakes. And I haven't even used any of these "mapping" methods or segments. i used the original FPSC models. Also, my map is not even big:S

Please, I need some help!
Thanks in advance!
Zoli
