over the months recently, I've released a lot of segments in bits and pieces, which is a hard way for good users of the community to download them. instead, I've decided to release the whole segment pack as 1 large download, with a few extra unreleased textures thrown in for fun

Q. where do you get these textures?

A. webtreats.mysitemyway.com, cgtextures.com, startextures.com, a massive texture pack from megaupload called massive texture pack for FPS creator, and my own photographs.

Q. are they seamless?

A. yes, every one.

Q. how can I use them?

A. however you like, no credit needed in games, but if you wish to distribute them anywhere as a pack, not a game, you must say I made them.

Q. can I preview some textures before I download?

A. yes. there is a picture of most of them. there are a couple more.

Q. Can these textures be use outside of FPSC?

A. sure! no need to have nice textures if they can't be displayed at higher than 1024X768 XD

Q. will you ever release more segments?

A. of course.

Woah! This pack is awesome man, very very well done! And quite generous of you indeed, thanks for another great contribution. I hope your WIP projects are coming along smoothly

Cheers.

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

It say's "segment pack". I haven't unzipped them yet because I don't have 7.zip on this computer so I can't verify. Are they just textures?

They are all segments and work great And @xplosys I believe winRAR can open 7z files, I tried it once. It was a bit slow, but still worked.

You might want to be careful Bugsy, I see a couple of HL2 textures in that image at the top.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz, 2.0GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 400MHz, ATI Radeon Sapphire HD 5770 Vapor-X

no, many are webtreats.mysitemyway.com most of the wallpaper ones.

also, It's come to my attention that that massive tex pack I got from megaupload was probably from hl2. in this pack, there is only 1 from the texture pack. the brown and beige plaster wall, which was edited from it's original form, can I keep it in or must I remove it?

I don't know about those textures, they are originally from HL2, so I would remove them (better safe than sorry - or ask a moderator).

But are you going to make more segment packs?

I did a quick run through of all the segments. They look great. Seamless and nice detail.

However, the floors have a problem.

This would be "thestreet," "thefloor," and "woodfloor."

It has to do with indicating the wrong mesh path. What is in the FPS file is this:

segments\Bunker CeilingFloor\ground.x

I don't happen to have ground.x mesh in that path. I replaced it with:

meshbank\common\floor.x

The floor segments also look great. Seamless. That is what I like.

Edit:

Oh, BTW, Thanks for the download. Greatly appreciated.

Your welcome. Yea, It could be. Not only do I not have the mesh in that path, I don't have that path at all.

Cool segments! Thank you very much.

Is it ok if I ripped some of the textures and used them in my models? I won't get in any trouble if I used them even for commercial purposes?

Nije job my friend, very nice! Love your segments! And They used CG Textures (heavily modified) for HL2, so... you got the textures off CG Textures, and 'cause they look alike then- ok, nevermind, I am not the smartest one here, so I'll just stop here. Just confused, that's all.
