A few months ago I was able to tether a very early beta of a fpsc mod I was working on to a mysql database I have. What I want to know is what is the general interest and application for this? What would you want to track? Kills? Deaths? Wins? I am going to say this right now I do not have time to do a full on mod but if I were to open up my database to whomever was interested and put a tutorial with code for you to modify and add to your fpsc sources would any of you want this?

Personally, I would love to see the "Waiting to join" problem be fixed, as for kills, deaths, and wins. That would be pretty cool. Although knxrb's FPSC IP already does this without a mod. Unless you are not talking about FPSC multi player.

It sounds interesting but FPSC IP does this.
I am interested in what you have come up with though, is it possible to get a look?

And as Soviet said, is this singleplayer or multiplayer or both that you're thinking of?

The WTJ bug is an entirely different issue. I am speaking about tracking stats etc. I'm pretty sure the only fix to the WTJ bug is to rewrite the MP to use a different plugin such as MultiSync.

This would work for both singleplayer and multiplayer. Really any value you want to save externally on a database.

Awesome, thanks

It'd be interesting on how you'd protect the values from people who want to tamper with the values to change their scores etc..
