Hello all.

I'm extremely new to DBPro so this may sound fairly stupid. I can see how using Static objects will help speed performance and allow for easy collision with solid objects while walking around, but it looks like it only uses block collision for static objects. Is this true?

Say if I wanted my player to walk up a ramp. Obviously it would need to know non-cube collision so that it could go up halfway, or partway up, maybe slide down if it's a steep hill or something. Can this only be done with polygon-type collision ?

Is there a reason why static collision MUST be cube?

Any simple code snippets would be helpful as I am a monkey see-monkey-do kind of guy. Or maybe I'm just a monkey. Thanks for your help!!

By the way I don't want to use the Matrix. Just having a player climb up a hill object, and also walk along top an object (cube).
