I would ask this in the actual migration thread, but it would probably remian unanserwed. In the official migration thread located here: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=142497&b=21 I saw this,
Quote: "FPSC Web (Play games in a web browser) - IN PROGRESS (V1.17)"
However, nothing is said explaining this. I have a couple of question relateing to this subject, would this be like something in the build game options where you select if you want your game browser based or, application based. Will this mean i can sell my games to online companys such as miniclip and armour games and it will work on the website? Will games created for the web still require direct x9 or will it be translated into something else? How will we be imbeding it into the page, through html?

I hate this box, but hey it's there.....

I was wondering about that as well, I mean you'd most likely have to use Flash, but there's no way a web browser would allow enough space for an FPSC game to run on.

No Have you ever played A.V.A or operation 7? i think they mean like that. If you haven't, i think it means like opening a game from the web browser ( after install of course).

Or like battlefield heros? I don't think that would be practicle, what would be the point of that compared to a desktop icon or a start menu link?

rem Special version of the FPSC-Game.exe called FPSC-Game-Web.exe
rem used in combination with the Web Game Builder program to convert
rem your standalone FPS Creator executable into an ActiveX allowing
rem you to paste your FPSC game right into your web page! Neat

rem FPGC - 260210 - Special flag to modify the start-up to create an ActiveX frame
runengineinframe=1

It should be coming with v1.17. It allows you to play FPSC Games in-browser.

All FPSC 1.X updates have been free and most likely will remain so.

If there is an xtra cost you can count me out. There is already an engine that you can create browser based games. Actualy there are 2 engines (may be more but I have 2 of them) one of them is free.

An end-user would have to download an ActiveX plug-in from the host's site and from everything I've ever seen, most game "sponsoring" sites look down on that sort of thing unless it's Flash, Shockwave or more recently, the Unity Web plug-in... but we'll see

Can you put your game on the web with FPSC 1.X and have people play it?
