Is there any way I can combine two mods together so they can both be used when I run my game? I'm asking this because I use Fenix Mod but I also want EFX Mod because of its better graphics and textures and everything. So is there any way I can use both mods together? Thanks.

No, this is impossible as FPSC will only read one of the EXE files. You'd have to merge the mods through their source code (which is not given out for free) and recompile it together.

I've often wondered what it would be like to join Keith and Nickydude together and see what came of it but combining mods is probably not a great idea.

We've talked about that too; but the tear in the space-time continuum would be far to great to even contemplate.

Well, as the other posters said you wont be able to combine several mod(ification)s without the sourcecode to each mod.

I'm not a mod but I always wanted to combine with xplosys so I would have that quick wit of his.

How funny Brian and Keith.

Fenix Mod is the only mod that was trying to combine several other mods. But that doesn't work very well, especially when one mod was still being worked on. That is RPG Mod. It was nearly impossible to be able to work together. RPG Mod only now partially works in Fenix mod and Hockeykid has gone on to more important tasks -- helping with the migration. And then there is PB which is not free. That can never be combined with another. The only possibility is if the developer of a mod would come up with similar features by writing their own code. Seems ridiculous but that's what it seems to be all about. Money and pride. Just look at Apple and MS. They have been coming up with ways to emulate each other with their OS's. Also, one creator of a word processor tries to keep up with the features of another word processor. In the end it all boils down to what does the user want?

It is fortunate with the FPSC mods that one could create a game that exploits one mod and then turns around to write another game that exploits the another mod's features.

It is very doubtful you will ever be able to do this. I, for one, would not give you my source code, so you wouldn't be able to open it.

First, you need to purchase DBPro. Then you need to download Lee's source code. It is found in the "Extras" file for DBPro. Then you can open his source code and edit all you want. However, there is no guide. He will not be able to help you figure out his code. You have to do that yourself.

The code is between 45,000 and 50+ thousand lines long. I can't remember exactly how many lines. It took me a year to write and finish my mod. My mod has taken the file to almost 70,000 lines.

aw well, but, is there any way i can continue to use fenix mod but get better resolution, graphics, or texture quality. As soon as i get that and everything else worked out i can start to build my game.

Absolutely! You can purchase bond1's Metro Theater Model Pack to take advantage of his new Pixel Shaders. He has also released a free normal mapping segment shader here.

If you're willing to spend a little extra money, you can purchase Project Blue along with bond1's Metro Theater shaders, and then take advantage of both world shaders and full screen shaders such as bloom, motion blur, depth of field, and so on!

You can also spend more time on your textures and lightmapping detail. Sharpen the textures and adjust their contrast to make them stand out better. The screenshots from one of my earlier projects [here] do not use shader maps, but still maintain a decent quality.

i've seen a post where somebody said that resolution can be increased in the setup.ini, is that true and how would that be done?

EDIT: Another thing, I have just realized that fpsc v1.17 will be coming out sometime soon with a ton of features and for free from what i understand. Is this true, and an official update?
