hi guys

what do you think is the best physic addon for db pro?
is it the dark physic plugin or the newton wrapper or another one?
it should have good docs and perhaps soft bodies

There are several Newton vs Dark Physics threads out there. The consensus is you have your fanboys for each one, you have your objective observers who can list the positive/negative qualities of each, and you have some people who hate physics altogether.

It all depends on what you want to do with physics. Explain your project and someone will chime in with whether it is doable (easier) in X or Y or Z physics engines.

I make a 3d platformer with 2d characters (which are 3d objects with a depth of zero).
i want to add some physical tasks the avatar has to solve.

In my opinion, Dark Physics is easier, but newton is better. (Saying that, I only use Dark Physics simply because it's so easy to use.)

Dark Physics has soft bodies, and fluids.
Both do vehicles.

If you don't mind waiting a few months, Xarshi is working on his havok wrapper, xenophysics, which I think is the best because it has the ease of the dark physics commands, and the features and stability of newton, havok is used in half life, halo, and a bunch of other games. although he hasn't finished it yet, from what ive done with it xenophysics it will be the best, but if you want to use it you'll have to be patient.
