Hi all

I received a HP Mini 210-1018CL netbook for father’s day. Attached are the specs. The FPSC editor works fine. I can build the game and it runs fine. When I click test level it builds the test level data. I loaded into Darkbasic professional and it worked. However, the test level does not work in FPSC. It builds but when the level is displayed I have no control, nothing happens. The only way to exit is ctrl-alt-delete. I click task manager and get FPSC-Game not responding. I have tried everything I can think of. Please help!

Thank you

Brian

I'm not understanding especially because you throw DBPro into the mix.

I have W7 and everything works fine for me. I just can't understand what you are trying to do.

Also, what version of FPSC are you using. Are you using any mods?

When I click test level it builds the test data, displays the level then freezes. Now, if I build a game it works. I am using 1.16 with no mod.

Thanks again

Oh, ok, this is an issue with the current version. It will be fixed with v117. It is NOT actually hanging up although it seems to be. All you have to do is click one of the mouse buttons. If the player has a weapon, be sure and click the right mouse button because the player will fire the weapon at the same time. I have seen that Lee has said it was now fixed in the v117 he is working on. I tried looking at it myself in the source code but it was impossible to find the problem. The reason why is it had something to do with a DLL file which I have no access to.

Another method, if the mouse one doesn't work is to use the ALT+TAB buttons and cycle through the open programs ending on the test level.
