I LOVE THE TRAIN!!!

But, I think you should make the feature names Bold. And change developers to main developers, because if I'm correct there were more that have contributed, if not that the rest is good.

here is a fix:
i am truly sorry for not naming everyone whos helping us, i may have forgot some since i wasnt on the project from the beggining. pls share your thoughts, if your name should be on it , tell me and i'll add it.
and also feel free to ask about the features or any features you would like to see and maybe contribute to the project.

Well, What I think you could also remove is the conlusion, like not the conclusion but the words in the left purple bar.

There you've got a point xD. Ah well, much better now with bold red. The only thing I would still change is the color of the title Super 3D Game Engine, the Engine is hard to read with purple on purple.

- Fix all the spelling mistakes and add a margin to the left of the main text.

- Add spaces between bullet points and paragraphs, and widen the left column slightly so that it doesn't look so squashed up.

- Don't use dark blue text on a dark purple background.

- Make the underlining actually go under the text it's supposed to be under. Sticking out or being too short makes it look very unprofessional.

I kinda.. dont like it.

- Ugly colors
- Too big text(Might just be me, as I am still young )
- The train in the background kinda messed the "readabilty"(?) of the text up

And btw haliop:
Insted of everytime someone comments on something, you just answer "I kinda like it that way" - well, the ad isn't mainly for you - but the others.

Keep it simple.

IMO, that's way too boring for an advert.

Well i use some resource sites that helps me making some adverts. Hava a look at udk main webpage they state:

For who? What? Why?

That sort of questions.

And their layout isnt bad at all.

Not saying u would steal things. But saying u need to check the big companys how they do it.

If u want i can draw something for yah.

Just hit me up on msn and or email.

First off, Haliop and Tech, in my opinion your respective ideas are to "wordy". To much text going on. You're making an Ad, not a brochure... Cut back on the text as a busy reader won't take the time to read it.

Second, way back when - many, many moons ago, I was taught a thing or two about sales. While I've never been much of a salesman, I have learned a thing or two about it and the first thing I was taught was that:

Features don't sell a product, the Benefits do. With that in mind, consider this contribution:

Quote: "
Build your Game with the ease of a mouse click. Paint your way to perfection by constructing unique Game Entities for your game world and combine multiple game mechanics to create an entirely new genre!

You can do all that with S3GE: Super 3D Game Engine - A fully equipped Hi-Tech game engine created by gamers; for gamers to create their own "perfect" game!
"

In the above, I've taken both of your respective ideas and identified what I see are the benefits and "exemplified" those. You can, of course, add *bling* with graphics and a logo but don't over-do it...

That's my suggestion.

Truly appreciate your input JTK. This was a fun little exercise for me. My goal was to squeeze as many of the highlights I could on to one Ad in vibrant color(s). I personally like Haliop's brochure approach.

I will make a layout, as stated in email also. But in my opinion u just have to have a title and a slogan of the game engine as an advert. Then a little info. U want me to choose a color scheme, or u prefer one?

Anyway, i will see what i can do.

Sorry for double post, here is the main layout.

I am still deciding how to show the text. But got some ideas.

Here is a preview, no text, only open fields for it, and ofcourse the title and slogan ( took from techlord his ad ).

Tell me what u think:

Red Eye, I LIKE IT!!!!

And want to use it for S3GE's Intro Splash Screen. Could you provide a 1600x900 or 1024x768 Hi-Def (.BMP or better) version of it?

Full credit applied.

Thanks, and yeah sure!

I am just waiting for the text from haliop, so i can insert it to the smaller version as an advert. I already got an idea where and how to place the text on the image.

A 1920 x 1080 is attached [hidef].

@haliop: Got your mail, I hope to get it done today, working on my own engine ,accidentally.

@TechLord: Ha no problemo mate, if i have some time, i would love to make a small intro, the same render scene, but with anims, and all coming together or something like the Activision logo, maybe? Just an idea.

Red Eye's work is a million times better than the other attempts. However, If you're going to stick a colourful train in then I think you need to stick colour elsewhere too or make the train a little less bright. The current layout makes it hard for me to read the text because the red is jumping out at me .

I personally like the bright train. It offsets the monotone gray and places emphasis on the `engine`, in a Sin City(the movie) -like way.

Dont worry about the letters. I've regenerated Red Eye's Ad in GIMP to add/remove text to the Splash and AD as needed.

This is not only a amazing work of art visually, but, also a awesome display of collaboration from the community. Hopefully, we can get more of this type of energy with development of S3GE.
