Hey everyone, I seem to be on a tutorial craze in the past week and have another one for you... this ones on making a sand texture in GIMP.

Hope somone finds it useful...

1)Create a new image- 500x500

2)Change the foreground color to #E5A54B or any light brown color of your choice

3)Filters>Noise>HSV Noise
Values shown below:

You can play around with these settings until you get the desired effect. I liked these.

4)Now duplicate the layer- Layers>Duplicate

5)Select the duplicated(new) layer- Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur
Use values preset values.

6)Reduce the duplicated layers opacity to 40%

7)Merge all layers- Ctrl+M
