THERE IS A NEW WORKING DEMO NOT IN THIS POST

Media are about to be completed, game engine 100%
just add the remaining missions, about 100 are planned and i've only 13, all in the sol system :-(
you can play the first 13 missions, then the game will crash i think.
here's an image, one of the intro.

ships in ships archive are all unlocked, for your fun, but they aren't all the ships in game and not to be definitive.
game is in italian and english, you can chose language at the start of the game, like also screen resolution.
let run the intro animation, is worth it, actually 2 intro (more to come)
what i've to say, it will be 100%freeware and completed before the year ends.
Please tell me what you think of this small space sim,and if someone want to help me with some media like ships, planet textures, sound, shaders, english translations, music is welcome.
before you can use all the features of the game you must complete the first 3 training missions! There is also a replay mission options.
reqs: tested on xp, 2.8 ghz vga 1gb 4gb ram and a couple of good speackers. (use a gamepad if you have it)
don't blame about MassEffect images!! i need some char pics (about 100...)
thanks for your time!

********* new version *******

Files removed - new version tomorrow.

forgot to say actually about 70+ ships

new version fix problem for screen resolutions (i hope)

PLEASE GIVE IT A RUN!

** things to change: dummy target are too much sturdy, and trainers are slow... take over this and test the missions PLS

Well, I tried to play it, because it looks promising but I ran it and it said display not supported. (Which means you're using set display mode with syntax my screen can't cope with)
(My max resolution is 1440x900x32, so do you recon you could compile a version that starts up in a lower res to that, and lets you choose higher once you're in. )

I have the same problem as cowbox, and I couldn't get around it by editing the source code (because for some reason I couldn't open the project file or figure out where my editor was saving the .exe XD). I see you're checking for a bunch of different specific values... isn't there a command "preform checklist for display modes" or something? Maybe you should just load the resolution from a .ini file?

ops sorry, i've a control system about that, and starts from 1024 x 768... i don't know why for the error, but i'll fix a 1440 x 900 res.

i don't know why. my res is 1680 x 1050 but i run it in about 8 different screen res. i've to redo this routine. and yes the source code is damaged in this rar and i don't know why... bah!

maybe a new demo soon with this problem fixed.

yeah, preform checklist for display mode, desktop width()/desktop height() or a .ini file is definitely the way to go. hopefully will be an easy fi

there's also this code:

so I'm guessing that res is being set to an improper value.

Thre's also the isue of if someone's graphics card miraculously doesn't have any of those values. Much better to do something like this: (perform checklist for display modes)

Played the game. It was VERY GOOD!!!

There were a couple problems that I spotted while playing, though.

During a mission, when I pressed "O" to see my objectives, the text was cut off and Ic ould only read a few words in the center.

When assembling the fleet, looking at different ships, one of the ships was so big that it covered up the text underneath, even after zooming out as far as it would let me. I had to spin the ship in cicles to read the text completely.

The english needs a little work, but it was written well enough that I knew what was going on.... most of the time.

Not sure if you wanted us to do this, but I grabbed 4 heavy battleships for my fleet. That made the game way too easy, lol!

I'm not sure what manual flight mode is really for... the only time I activated it was to look behind me and make sure that my fleet was actually following me... or to look around at the pretty stars while escorting the civilian ships.

Very well done. The graphics are great and pleasing to the eye, the HUD is nicely designed, and the game plays without a hitch! I had a lot of fun this past hour nuking pirates, mayhaps I'll try putting together a mission of my own.

ops i think i've not deactivated the unlimited credits.... naaaaaa..... but not to worry is only a demo.

Auto Engine slowly redirect ship in the heading direction, in manual ship follow spaceflight inertia, but your ship is more faster.

Plystire , what screen res are you using?

edited: DEMO files deleted . new version tomorrow.
