Hi all, can anyone help me with a problem im having, basically i want to be able to swap between normal textured and bump mapped at the press of a button, but i cant get the shaders to go off,ive used the command set shading off but nothing happens, anyone know how i can do this?

Set shading off? I don't get along with shaders, too slow normally so I tend to avoid them. I believe shading is for real time shadows, not bump mapping. The only way I can think of is to have 2 copies of each object one bump mapped, one standard and swap them when required. Shader boffs may give you a better solution though.

Not true. Shaders can be used for many many things, not just shadows.

Ew! Wastefull.

To remove the bump-mapping (Or indeed any shader) from an object, just have a blank shader with an empty technique and set the object to use that shader instead.
