Hi to everyone. After very much work spent to provide this software, I can say that the protection suite which had the capabilities to reach high levels now reached them, becoming a real must for everyone wants to make something better than the homemade funny game.
GameLock reaches the prerogatives of every kind of user. From the standard user who wants a powerful and easy to use protection to the expert one who wants a fully customizable and extensible protection. It protects every game, FPS Creator X9 and X10 games are included.

Nowadays it can’t be possible to release a game without any kind of protection, even a basic one. In really fast time this game would be copied and diffused online.
There are various protection utilities avaible on the market, some that offer very basic protection, some that are so high level just as their price. GameLock is the best protection when not spacing in high level hardware disc-encoded protections which are really intrusive and also really expensive.
GameLock is the extremely balanced choice in game protection market.
It provides many features, many customizable options, to give you a very reliable and powerful software suite.
Basicly, it divides in three editions:
The Standard one, wich provides one serial common to all games sold. This is good for demos, but can also be used for commercial games.
The Professional edition, which provides the same of the standard plus, the capability to create Multiple Keys to distribute each of them wich a copy of the game.
The Premium edition, provides the same of standard and pro, plus the Online Check of every key, and this assures that each key can be used only one time. This is provided with a PHP/MySql web server to manage games and keys. This is the best protection.

An HD video demonstration can be seen at this link
http://vimeo.com/13077351

It can be customized with personal themes. A guide for customization is included.
Here are some sample themes included with GameLock.

The software will be released and sold online at the website very soon:
http://www.computerfix.altervista.org/gtd/

WE ARE PLANNING TO GIVE TWO FREE COPIES OF THE PREMIUM EDITION OF GAMELOCK
To get them, partecipate in this contest.
Make a screenshot of a scene in your game created with FPS Creator X9 or X10 as you want.
You can use any custom models or textures you want, and this would be better to increase creativity.
Send the screenshots tho the email:
infante.paolo [at] gmail.com
And if you want you can attach them to this thread.

You must include the forum nickname, your e-mail address, and you can send a maximum of 3 screenshots per person who partecipates.
They will be chosen the best 2 screenshots (maximum 1 per person) from me and some collaborators of GameLock project, who will get a free Premium edition of the software.
The texture quality, the spectacularity of the scene, the detail of the ambient, the lighting, the creativity, the uniqueness will incide to the final judgement.

The contest starts today 5 July 2010 3:00 Italian hour.
It ends 14 July 2010 23:59 Italian hour.

Please leave here some feedbacks and ideas.

Paolo Infante.

Yeah sure! All the customization possible is described and documented in the "Customization Guide" provided with GameLock.
You must only respect the image size (width and height) and add a bit of trasparency to achieve a good result.

I won only 1 screenshot compo (but it was my first ever compo), so I think I might give it a go. But I won't be able to get on my computer till around July 20th. How long will the free compo offer last?

It lasts until 15 July 0:00 Italian Time.

I don't think we can make it last longer. It all depends on how many time we're going to take to make last bug fixing and beta-testing. It toke really hard work to find the best protection methods, we experimented everything, from PE-injection in assembly, to executable forking, until we found our way. Even serial algorithms have been hard to implement. Now we are trying to perfect everything, and I think that for 15 July we're made.
However, if we decide to extend the finish of the contest we will say it in this topic.

The contest winners will be really lucky when they'll get this software, there's a lot of sweat in it!

Update on Screenshot Contest

It would give more points to concentrate more on quality of single subjects than on their number. So a good quality character can be better than 100 low quality soldiers.

Other factors that indeed raise the valutation of the screenshot is humor, humor is always good, so if you put a bit in your screen it can ony be good.

Also, they won't be accepted screenshots edited with Photoshop or similiar softwares. Neither do stolen works.

If you've done a good work, you will be payed of.

Exceptional extension of the end date of contest. From 15 July it shifts to 25 July 2010 0:00 Italian Time.

Thank you,
Paolo Infante.

I don't like how you make it obvious calling it, "License Wizard". No company would ever use something that obvious.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

Why not? Why do you want to hide it? After all your licensing, giving a license to use, a copy of your game. I have many examples of games doing so, and I tried to make it the simpliest for the end-user who will buy the game.
It was decided so because it is really familiar to an installer. So it changed from install wizard to license wizard, because that is what you're doing.

If you definitively don't like it, you can change the text by following the customization guide. You can, with this method, also create different language copies of the loader.

Yes, it's made to work with any Windows Game, so with any game which provides a PE (Standard Executable).
So it will work with FPSC x9, x10, and on any modded version of FPSC.
It will also work on DarkBasic games and on C++ games, native coded or using Game Engines (like Unreal Engine).
It will work on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Yes you can change the text in the installer and you can change its color. You can customize the background image as well as the top logo.
For detailed help you'll refer to the customization guide provided with the software.

He's maybe referring to the final price of the software. Well, we're still deciding, but a thing will be sure. In the first few days there will be a big discount on the price, so if you get it soon you will pay it less.

Yeah we were already thinking about using image in place of buttons, but I'm not sure if I will add this, because the look of the interface would change entirely and the base idea of the software would dissolve from a very strong Protection Suite, to a customized Loader for your games...
I'm not excluding the possibility to add this feature, though.

Here is my screenshot for this, this will be usefull for protecting my game.

screenshot below, its a early beta, so i still have to fix up stuff,

my motto for game making - make something cool and polish it up to the best of your ability.

edit: that picture is a little outdated, i added in some coils in the top and bottem of the reactor, im still wondering why the particle editor that came with fenix mod wont work for me now, would love to make a better reactor effect.

A new shorter video has been uploaded. Here I show features of GameLock briefly, not going into details, and while in the previous and longer one I was going through the protection of a game, I now just explain the interfaces of the software.

Video on YouTube HD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DowwvV-k8E

A test of the new Theme Creator will be uploaded soon.
