hello guys, I have never baked anything before so i started on the compo mesh and made an highpoly verson, now how do i bake this to a lowpoly verson? I suppose i need to unwrap it using 3ds max but then what? help please

you dont need to unwrap the high poly ,make a low poly version unwrap that ,you then bake down the normals to the low poly with render to texture.

i will let asteric explain it in full as hes the king when it comes to high poly stuff im more of a low poly kinda guy lol
