Hi,

I wanted to know how it would be possible to implement moving platforms in DBPro?

Is it possible to do this by using limb commands?

I'm wondering how your character would walk around on the moving platform while the platform is moving, rotating, etc?

Would using the limb commands work for this or would you need something different?

Regards
Ben.

You could use GLUE OBJECT TO LIMB, then it stays an object in it's own right. Only problem with this would be that collision detection doesn't work with glued objects.

Maybe they'll fix the bug where collision detection doesn't work with glued objects. That would be easy I think. Maybe the team are already working on this problem as we speak.

I'd probably use the GLUE OBJECT TO LIMB for the moving platform, but then I'd want to be sure that collision is still working though.

Hopefully this is a bug that will get fixed because it doesn't sound right.

Regards
Ben

I will say that if you had bought the orriginal darbasic, you would have found that there was a demo with a moving platform thing. You were a tube that went moved ior jumped around the level. There were about 5 steps of platforms, one of which gradually moved away from the rest.

You mean the water fall thing...that's not moving platforms, that's sliding collision BSP test...nothing to do with moving platforms IMHO...
