Is it? I was sort of hoping for a train scene in which your on a moving train.

Also, is it possible to have more then one song for the entire game? I read somewhere you go to build game, level settings then global script, but when I do I have only an option for one song?

If the train had no windows then you could make an ambient sound that sounds like an inside of a train so the player feels as if he is riding it

@DarkJames
How do I do that?

@Hamburger, See I want him to be able to also walk on the roof of the trains also, not just the inside.

You could use BOND1's animated shader and make big walls with buildings and terrain whizzing past either side, then add a floor with whizzing train tracks. Then just angle them to a point way off at the front and do it like the old movies do it

That way the actual train just looks like it's moving, but you have full movement and no collision troubles. You can use invisible walls (transparent textured) to keep the player on the train, or use big damage hurt zones down each side to kill the player ??

Put ischarcter=1 at the end of the trains moving script and use waypoints. That should work, and if you change the pace to 500 and use a small portion of the map space to either loop the train to keep moving or if you want if you want to complete the level when the train reaches a certain point, thats possible too. I also think with a bit of scripting (I probally wouldn't know much) you can have the train destroy itself and respawn once it goes under a cave where the player isn't supposed to reach, so it will seem as if trains are coming after it. If you want to start on the train, you could, also using scripting, destroy the train once it goes through the hole, and the player will be able to jump off the train before hitting the wall, which COULD be a death point, at 80mph. I suggest this being a whole level though, and any of these ideas could work, if you gave us more detail. Whatever option you want depends on what type of level your designing and where you want the endpoint .etc

Notice: I don't have any idea how to script, but I'm pretty sure there are commands for these. Anyone feel free to correct me here though.

@Monkey Mja
Hmm, I want to have an entire level where the player is on a train going through a forest to the end of the level,

@Nbt
Thanks,

Also, quoting my first post..

OK, so make the tracks and the player on the train, and put the win point in midair, so when the train reaches a certain point, the player will win, but make sure the train keeps on going a bit longer, or is destroyed, because you don't know if the player is in the front of the train or the back.

And for the music, I have no idea. I'm currently waiting for someone to answer that.

Well you could add soundzone sized to the entire map for each level with a looping tune and have no or a silent track set for game music?

That is if you can have soundzones inside other soundzones for all your other noises?? As far as I know you can as I have placed them like that for water drips inside atmosphere sounds for area etc and they seem to work.

I'd forget the moving train if I were you. It's going to be a hell of a lot of work and it's probably not possible to create a convincing effect (and that means a lot coming from me). If you're absolutely insisting on trying to do this, your best bet is to create the inside and outside of your train using segments then shape it with entities. Then place a giant box around the entire train, and use bond1s animated shader, somehow create a looping moving scenery effect.

Well the inside train is very easy with bond1's shaders u can put a window on the segment and apply bond1's shader to it so the train looks like its moving.The the outside part is pretty hard to achieved though even if anyone here can make it then it might not be pretty convincing.

Alright, Well...I guess I won't include it then, if it's really that hard. Well, Is there any other way to have multiple songs in a game besides using sound zones?
